Q2 2024 Analysis: Top Android Food & Diet Apps in the UK

In the second quarter of 2024, the UK's Android platform has seen varied performance among the top food and diet tracking applications. Sensor Tower provides an in-depth look into how these apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner saw a moderate download trend starting at 30K in the first week of April and dipping to around 10K by the end of June. Weekly active users peaked at 68K in the first week but saw a decline to around 46K towards the end of the quarter. Revenue showed fluctuations with a general downward trend, starting at approximately $2.4K and declining to $2K.

Nutracheck's Calorie Counter + had a strong performance in revenue, initiating the quarter with roughly $65K and reaching up to $70K, before a slight decline to $64K by June's end. Downloads experienced a rise from 7.5K to 9K, with a peak at 9.5K in mid-June. The app's weekly active users started at 51K, increased to 56K, and remained stable throughout the quarter.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter demonstrated consistent revenue generation with an initial $45K, spiking to $52K mid-quarter, and then slightly dropping to $45K. Downloads remained stable with a slight upward trend from 8.3K to 8.6K, while weekly active users showed robust engagement starting at 129K and reaching a high of 139K before closing the quarter at around 132K.

The NHS Weight Loss Plan, with no revenue reported, had downloads begin at 5.4K, dip to 4.4K, and then rise back to 5.4K. Weekly active users were relatively stable, starting at around 14.5K and ending the quarter at nearly 14K.

Lastly, Calorie Counter - MyNetDiary showed a modest revenue trend starting at approximately $4.9K and experiencing a dip to $4.3K. Downloads saw a peak of 4.9K in mid-May before dropping to around 2.9K. Weekly active users had a peak of 35K in mid-May, with a slight dip to 31K by the quarter's end.
